Fremont
If you live in Fremont, we can meet online, in person at my Omaha office, or a mix of both. The office is close enough to drive to, and far enough that the drive costs you an afternoon.

How does the distance work in practice?
Fremont sits about 35 miles northwest of Omaha. That is near enough that an in person session is realistic, and far enough that a weekday appointment can swallow most of an afternoon once you count the drive both ways.
So the real question is less whether to come in person and more when it is worth it. Online sessions can cover the ordinary weeks, and the office is there for the weeks when you want a room. Weather plays a part as well. On a winter evening with bad roads, choosing video still gets you a full session, and nobody has to cancel.
When does meeting in person make sense?
You might want to meet face to face for a first session and then move to video. A couple might prefer the office for the harder conversations, so neither partner is hosting the session in their own living room. You might save in person for the weeks when something big needs a different setting.
None of that has to be decided in advance. We can work out a rhythm that fits your week, and change it when your week changes.
What if I work in Omaha?
Then an in person session might fit around a workday in the city instead of requiring a separate trip, depending on the times we find together. If you already commute into the metro, part of the drive you make anyway can become the time that makes therapy possible.
On days you work from home or stay in Fremont, video fills the gap. What matters is a private space and an hour without interruptions. A closed door at home or a quiet spot in your car both work, and if you share a house, it helps to agree ahead of time on what a closed door means.
What can we work on together?
Anything that is weighing on you: anxiety, low mood, grief, a marriage that has drifted, a family that has stopped talking, or a job that asks too much of you. Couples work, which this practice is known for, can happen in the office or online. Some weeks the focus is one person, and other weeks it is the whole household.
DBT is my primary method, so alongside the talking there are practical skills, built from your real week rather than a workbook. Goals are agreed together, kept specific and achievable, and reviewed as things change. If something is not helping, we change it.
How do we start?
Send a short message saying what is going on, in a sentence or two, and whether you are leaning toward online, in person, or both. There is no online calendar. Times are set in a conversation, so we can find one that fits your drive or your desk.
The first conversation is a free consultation. It is a chance to describe what is going on, ask anything you want about how I work, and decide together whether this is a good fit. If it is not, I will tell you plainly and suggest where else to look.

Questions people ask
Is there an office in Fremont?
No. The only office is in Omaha, about 35 miles away. From Fremont you can meet online from anywhere with privacy and a decent connection, or make the drive to the Omaha office when an in person session suits you better.
Can I switch between online and in person?
Yes. The method and the person are the same either way, so moving between the two does not interrupt the work. We can decide week by week, or settle into a regular pattern, whichever fits your life better.
Can couples and families meet from Fremont?
Yes. Couples and family sessions can happen online or at the Omaha office. The office can help with the hardest conversations, and home can feel more relaxed. We can try both and see which setting helps you talk more honestly with each other.
