Scottsbluff
If you live in Scottsbluff or elsewhere in the Panhandle, we can meet online. The Omaha office is about seven hours away, so video is the realistic way to meet, and it is a full session, not a stand-in for one.

How does therapy work from this far away?
By video, from wherever you have privacy and a steady connection. Scottsbluff sits on the North Platte River near Scotts Bluff National Monument, about seven hours from Omaha by car, so a weekly drive to the office is not a serious option. Online sessions are.
My Nebraska license covers online sessions throughout the state, the Panhandle included. Distance from Omaha changes how we meet. It does not change the approach, or the attention you get in the hour.
What about the time difference?
The Panhandle runs on Mountain Time, one hour behind Omaha. When it is noon in Scottsbluff, it is one in the afternoon in Omaha. That sounds minor, and it is exactly the kind of detail that leads to a missed first appointment.
So when we agree on a time, we say which clock it is on and confirm it in your time. It is a small habit, and it saves a good deal of confusion for both of us. When the clocks change in spring and fall, both time zones change together, so the one hour difference stays the same all year.
What if my work has busy seasons?
Plenty of work in the Panhandle follows a calendar of its own: planting and harvest, calving, or a stretch at a job where overtime is not optional. In those weeks a fixed weekly hour can feel impossible, and therapy is easy to drop first.
We can plan for that instead of letting it end the work. Meeting less often during a heavy season and more often afterward keeps the thread intact. Because scheduling happens in a conversation rather than through an online calendar, there is room to adjust as the season changes. When things calm down, we can look at what the busy stretch taught you about your limits.
Is online as good as meeting in person?
In most cases, yes. Honest conversation and a steady working relationship are what make therapy useful, and neither one requires a shared room. You also skip the waiting room, the drive, and the time off work that an appointment across the state would take.
If it ever looks like you would get more from in person care, or from someone closer to home, I will tell you directly and help you weigh the options. And if you are in Omaha for any reason, we can plan an in person session around that visit.
Where do we begin?
With whatever is weighing on you, in your own words: stress, worry, low mood, grief, a strained marriage, a family that has stopped talking, or something you have kept to yourself for years. Couples can meet online together, from one screen. Families can join too, whether that is a parent and a teenager or a whole household.
DBT is my primary method, so you leave sessions with practical skills as well as a conversation. Goals stay specific and achievable, and the first step is a free consultation, where you can ask anything and decide whether this is a fit.
Practical notes for the Panhandle
- Sessions by video, from anywhere in Nebraska
- Times agreed on Mountain Time, with Omaha's clock noted too
- A plan for busy seasons, so the work can continue
- An in person option at the Omaha office whenever you are in the city
- A private space and headphones make a real difference
Questions people ask
Do you have an office in Scottsbluff?
No. The only office is in Omaha. From Scottsbluff and the rest of the Panhandle, sessions are online, which saves you a very long drive. If you are ever in Omaha, we can meet in person there.
What if my internet connection is unreliable?
Then we plan for it. A wired connection or a seat closer to the router can help, and if a session drops, we pick up where we left off as soon as it comes back. If the connection is a constant barrier, we talk about it openly and look at what would make sessions workable.
Can couples meet online from the Panhandle?
Yes. Couples sessions work by video, with both partners at one screen or, when needed, joining from two places within Nebraska. Couples therapy is what this practice is best known for, and distance does not have to rule it out.
