Individual therapy
An hour that belongs to you. No performance, no script, and no need to have it organised before you walk in.

What do people bring here?
Stress that stopped being temporary. Anger that arrives faster than it used to. Grief that other people think should be finished by now. Sleep that will not come. A sense of being fine on paper and hollow in private.
Some people arrive with a clear problem. Others arrive with a feeling they cannot name yet. Both are enough to start.
What actually happens in the session?
We talk. I ask questions, I listen, and I tell you plainly what I notice. I am not going to nod at you for fifty minutes and send you home with nothing.
My primary method is DBT, so alongside the talking there are skills: ways to ride out a spike of distress, to say what you mean without burning the bridge, to notice the thought before it drives. We practise them here so they are available to you out there.
How do we know it is working?
Because we set goals together, in your words, small enough to actually start. Then we check them. If something is not moving, we say so and change the approach rather than repeating it louder.
The north star is a life worth living. That is different for everyone, so we define what it means for you before we start walking toward it.
What you can expect from me
- Straight answers, including when the answer is that I am not sure yet
- Respect for your pace, and no pressure to open a door before you are ready
- Goals that are specific and achievable, reviewed as we go
- An honest referral if someone else is a better fit for what you need
Ready when you are.
Therapy starts with a conversation. Send a short message and tell me what is going on, in your own words. We meet in person in Omaha, and online across Nebraska and Rhode Island.
