Norfolk
If you live in Norfolk or one of the towns around it, we can meet online. The only office is in Omaha, about two hours away, and it is there whenever a trip to the city makes sense.

Why online, from Norfolk?
Because a four hour round trip is often the part of the plan that breaks. Norfolk is the hub for much of northeast Nebraska, so if you live nearby you may already drive in for work, school, shopping, and appointments. Adding a weekly drive to Omaha on top of all that is a lot to ask, week after week.
Video takes the drive out of it. You get a full session, the same approach, and the same therapist each week, from home, from a parked car, or from a quiet room at work with the door closed. If you live in a smaller town outside Norfolk, it saves you that drive too.
What about the winter months?
Northeast Nebraska winters make long drives unpredictable. A session that depends on the highway is a session that gets canceled when the weather turns. Online, a snowstorm does not have to cost you a week, as long as the power and the connection hold.
Consistency matters in therapy. Skills get built through practice, and goals get reviewed regularly. Taking the weather out of the equation keeps the work moving through the darker months, which can be hard months in their own right.
I am a student. Does this work for me?
Norfolk is home to Northeast Community College, and student life rarely leaves much spare time. Classes, a job, maybe family responsibilities, and a schedule that changes every term. Fitting in a session online, between commitments, is far easier than finding half a day to drive. A session can sit in the gap between a morning class and an afternoon shift.
For young adults, therapy can be a place to sort out pressure, direction, relationships, and the gap between the plan and what actually happened. You will be spoken to as an adult, and the session belongs to you.
Is in person ever an option from Norfolk?
Yes. If you are already in Omaha for medical appointments, family, or work, an in person session can be paired with that trip. You might also want one early session face to face and the rest by video. Some weeks a room helps, and the Omaha office is there for those weeks.
You can switch between online and in person without starting over. The approach stays the same, and the work picks up where it left off.
What would we focus on?
Whatever is weighing on you: worry that will not switch off, low mood, grief, stress from work or caregiving, a marriage under strain, or a teenager who has stopped talking to you. Couples and family sessions can happen online too, with everyone at one screen or joining from different places.
DBT is my primary method, so the work is practical: skills built for an ordinary, busy week, and goals that are specific and achievable. Therapy starts with a conversation. Ours begins with a free consultation, so you can get a feel for how I work before you commit to anything. If it turns out I am not the right fit, I will say so and help you think about where else to look.

Questions people ask
Do I need special equipment for online sessions?
No. A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera is enough, along with a decent connection and a private space. Headphones help keep the conversation private. If the connection drops partway through, we reconnect and carry on.
Is an online session as private as an office visit?
What you say is treated with care either way. Before we begin, I go over how confidentiality works and where its limits are. On your end, choosing a spot where you will not be overheard matters as much as anything on mine. A closed door and headphones go a long way.
Are you licensed to see me in Norfolk?
Yes. I am licensed in Nebraska, which covers online sessions anywhere in the state, including Norfolk and the towns around it. I am also licensed in Rhode Island, where sessions are telehealth only.
